An extract from an email I wrote afterwards, telling some friends about the weekend:

“The weekend was brilliant! - the Breakthrough Experience was very very interesting, very profound and enlightening. If you have the chance to attend one sometime it would really be worthwhile thinking about - it just gives you a VERY different view on life & the universe, and the intelligence of the man is quite awesome!

I’ll tell you more when we next chat - but suffice to say, it was a breakthrough for me! The main aim of Saturday afternoon/night is to do an exercise to remove the positive & negative “charges” (strong feelings) you associate with someone you have an issue with. I was going to work on my mom, but at the last moment realised that I’d been given a message last week … so I changed to work on my ex-husband(!).

9 & 1/2 hours later I’d reached a stage where I felt gratitude towards for him for what my life is today - if he hadn’t been in my life when he was I would very likely NOT be here today! What a change in perspective that is for me! I always used to say “thank god I got out of that relationship”, but never “thank you for it”! So… interesting, eh?!”
